1. Award Winning Food
The 2016 Mid-America Chevy Dealers Ribfest was one of the best yet. Housing the greatest BBQ joints throughout the Midwest, New Town was full of life with over 300 vendors! While all of the vendors brought their best game to Ribfest, poll results from fan voting on the Ribfest Facebook page was able to rank the best of the best. So when you make your way to next year’s Ribfest, or just need to get some delicious BBQ in the meantime, write down this fan favorite list!
- Texas Outlaw – Elizabethtown, Kentucky
- Porky Chicks – Farmington, Arkansas
- Sugarfire – St. Charles, Missouri
- Beast Craft BBQ – Belleville, Illinois
- Right on Q – New Town, Missouri
These five fan favorites are only a few of the countless must visit restaurants that held a booth at this year’s Ribfest.
2. Live Music
If the promise of exceptional food was not enough for you, there were over 30 musical groups that performed a great variety of music. Many local groups playing classic rock, pop, country, alternative, and even some reggae and blues influences!
There were two stages this year, one smaller stage by the shopping vendors and then a main stage directly in the center of the event. Families came and set up their lawn chairs, picnic blankets and enjoyed their BBQ all while listening to some great live music!
3. Countless Craft Vendors
Everywhere you looked there were vendors setting up shop selling jewelry, sauces,
specialty root beers, and special guests from Craft Beer Cellars who brought an amazing selection of beer to pair with all the exceptional BBQ.
4. Family Fun
Kids had the opportunities for great fun with outdoor activities such as Knockerball, Gyroscope, swing sets, Air Cannon, and Bounce Houses! This area was located on the outskirts of the event, still in earshot of the live music.
The whole event was dog friendly, with plenty of water stations for your pets!
